Day 1
Depart New York, NY (JFK) or Washington, DC (DULLES) for Johannesburg on South African Airways.
Day 2
On arrival at Johannesburg's Oliver Tambo International Airport's Central Terminal Building/Terminal A, collect your luggage and then clear customs and immigration. Re-check your bags for your onward flight to Cape Town. On arrival at Cape Town Airport you will be met by a Lion World Tours representative and transferred to your hotel.

Enjoy your first day at leisure in the fascinating city of Cape Town. The Twelve Apostles Hotel offers a complimentary scheduled shuttle to and from the V&A Waterfront between 08:00am and 08:00pm. Sightseeing tours can be pre-arranged. Please ask your consultant for information.

Day 6
This morning you will be transferred from your hotel to Cape Town Airport for your flight to Durban. On arrival at Durban's King Shaka International Airport you will be met and taken by private road transfer to the Oyster Box Hotel at Umhlanga Rocks on the KwaZulu Natal coast.

The Oyster Box Hotel, originally built in 1947 and set in lush gardens overlooking the Indian Ocean, reopened after a two-year makeover as a long overdue luxury addition to KwaZulu-Natal's tropical northern coast.
The renovation enhanced its colonial character while adding modern essentials including two pools, a spa, gym, and a 24-seat cinema. Attention to detail and design extends to the 86 rooms and suites (most of them sea-facing), all richly layered in pattern, texture, and color. Durban's melting-pot heritage, particularly its Indian culture, is reflected in many aspects of the hotel, from the friendly staff to cuisine. This morning you will be taken by private transfer from your hotel to Durban Railway Station for your overnight Rovos Rail journey to Pretoria.

Upon arrival at Rovos Rail's private Capital Park Station in Pretoria you will be met and taken by private transfer to the DaVinci Hotel in Johannesburg.

DaVinci Hotel on Nelson Mandela Square is centrally located and features a stylish restaurant and bar. It boasts an infinity pool and a luxurious spa with state-of-the-art fitness centre. Day 10
This morning you will be taken by private transfer from your hotel to Johannesburg Airport for your flight to Kruger-Mpumalanga where you will be met on arrival and transferred to the Lion Sands River Lodge in the Lion Sands Private Game Reserve. Spend 2-nights including full board and scheduled game viewing activities. This afternoon you will take part in an open vehicle game drive.

Lion Sands River Lodge, in the Lion Sands Private Game Reserve, is situated in the southern portion of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. The lodge, built on the banks of the Sabie River, has 10km/6miles of Sabie River frontage with a high concentration of game around the river especially during the dry seasons. The 18 luxurious thatched bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and wooden viewing decks. All rooms are air-conditioned with an overhead ceiling fan, and have a mini-bar and telephone. The interior is a tranquil purple and cream haven, and the bathrooms have pebble-inlaid floors. Each bedroom has its own deck with a view of the river and is linked to all areas by raised wooden walkways. The lodge has a private lounge and bar, two swimming pools, wooden viewing decks, a secluded bird hide, private hammocks, conference room, health spa, curio shop, and both an indoor and open-air (Boma) dining area.

Day 11
Enjoy an early morning game drive in this wildlife paradise. Relax around the swimming pool or take a siesta to make up for the early morning wake-up call. In the late afternoon you will be taken on another safari under the guidance of Lion Sand�s qualified game rangers and renowned Shangaan trackers. Exceptional game viewing has always been a trademark of Lion Sands

At daybreak, guests meet for a welcoming cup of coffee before embarking on a dawn safari. Rangers and trackers greet the day by pointing out the wildlife, and even the most seasoned game viewer will learn something new and fascinating every day.
Lion Sands is the only private game reserve to have access to the perennial Sabie River, which it shares with the Kruger National Park. The six miles of riverfront ensures a great diversity of wildlife and promises an African safari of a lifetime. It is an area of great diversity of both fauna and flora and the chances of seeing the 'Big Five' - Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo and Leopard are excellent.

Day 12
After an early morning game drive to track the animals that may have eluded you so far, followed by breakfast, you will be transferred from your lodge to Kruger-Mpumalanga Airport for your flight back to Johannesburg. (B)

On arrival at Johannesburg's Oliver Tambo International Airport Central Terminal Building/Terminal B, connect with your international South African Airways flight back to the USA.
