Day 1
Depart from New York or Washington, DC on your international South African Airways flight to Johannesburg.
Day 2
On arrival at Johannesburg's Oliver Tambo International Airport's Central Terminal Building, collect your luggage and then clear Customs & Immigration. Re-check your bags for your domestic flight to Cape Town. Then upon arrival at Cape Town Airport, you will be met by a Lion World Tours representative and transferred to your hotel.

The President Hotel is the ideal base from which to explore the beautiful Cape. The accommodation is luxurious, yet extremely affordable; the atmosphere is relaxed, yet professional. There is no better choice of venue. Exclusively spacious rooms and suites overlook the Atlantic Ocean or Lions Head, offering facilities one would expect of a world-class hotel.

The President is on the rocky beachfront at Bantry Bay and a few minutes by car from Clifton and Camps Bay. With a wide range of in-house activity choices, there will be little need to venture out. Yet, if you would like to explore the area a bit, Cape Town's main attractions are only a short drive away. Bantry Bay and the hotel itself are relatively safe, but it is recommended not to walk alone at night in the neighboring Sea Point area.

Enjoy a cocktail in the Senate Bar or a sundowner on the Terrace. Then, let the Islands Restaurant tantalize your taste buds with sumptuous cuisine.

Day 3
Today you will be taken on a scheduled seat-in-coach half day Stellenbosch Winelands tour.

Historical, glorious Stellenbosch with its Cape Dutch architecture, is the warm and wonderful heart of the Cape Winelands, and is surrounded by stunning wine estates. It's truly the prettiest town, home to one of the country's prestigious universities, and you'll love exploring the fine art galleries, the architecture, the history, and the curious and quaint shops. But first, take a leisurely drive to become acquainted with the beauty of this world-renowned region, before inducting you into the wine-making process in a fascinating cellar tour. And when the wine's made, it needs to be tasted, so we will test and taste...and no doubt, you'll leave with a favorite bottle or two under your arm. Stellenbosch is arguably one of the Province's most beautiful towns - but you will be the judge.

Day 4
Today is a day of leisure to explore the fascinating city of Cape Town.

Cape Town is a city with a diverse range of attractions, sights and activities to offer and it has something for everyone. From the landmark beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay to the vibrant V&A Waterfront and Cape Town city centre, the award-winning wine farms of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek - time spent in Cape Town will not be forgotten. Cape Town is a sophisticated city at the gateway to a majestic continent. The Mother City is a place where old and new harmoniously converge - in history, architecture, cultural pursuits and the essence of its people. The city is dominated by a towering, table-shaped mountain, set on a peninsula of soaring, rocky heights and lush valleys, where two oceans converge - Indian and Atlantic. Natural beauty and the fast pace and bright lights of a great urban centre meld effortlessly here. Firmly positioned on the international map, Cape Town offers a myriad things to do and places to see, whatever your tastes, inclinations or budget.

Day 5
Spend your last day in Cape Town perhaps doing some last minute shopping or visiting one of the many places of interest.

Cape Town is a fabulously diverse and vibrant city; from its beautiful natural attributes to its colorful culture, stunning wine farms and captivating history - it's a tourist heaven. Cape Town offers historic and cultural sites, world-class museums and bustling markets, inviting beaches and lush gardens, as well as great restaurants and wonderful shopping. While South Africa is perhaps best known for its game parks and natural splendors, it is also a land whose cities exude urban sophistication, rich in history, the arts, entertainment and other cosmopolitan delights.

Day 6
Today you will be transferred from your hotel to Cape Town Airport in time for your flight to Kruger-Mpumalanga where you will be met and transferred to your lodge. Spend 2-nights including breakfast, 2 lunches and dinner and game drives daily.

Each of the comfortably appointed, air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms at the Protea Kruger Gate Lodge will make you feel part of the bush environment. The swimming pool overlooks the Sabie River. One of the most unique facilities is the Tree House, providing an opportunity to experience a sleep out under the stars, with calls of the wild drifting by. A buffet-style breakfast is served in the restaurant, while an a la carte lunch is served on the wooden deck. As the dinner drum sounds, one of the most memorable moments of your visit will be dining under the stars. The lapa offers just this experience, along with true African cuisine, including game and bubbling pots of fragrant delicacies.

Day 7
Enjoy early morning and late afternoon open vehicle game drives.

Kruger National Park's unspoiled and untamed environment stirs deep emotions and enables you to experience wild Africa just as you imagined it. No matter where you are, however, the African Safari experience will be one that lingers in your mind and awakens a deep passion for Africa. See Africa's "Big Five" - Lion, Rhino, Elephant, Buffalo and Leopard - and many other animals in their natural environment.

Explore the experience that is the Kruger National Park by going on a walking trail with an expert guide, or game drive in the wilds. A birdwatchers` paradise, Protea Kruger Gate offers guests opportunities to spot a variety of species on the doorstep, including waking at dawn to the cry of the fish eagle, while several hides allow for close-up viewing. Leisure and sporting activities include miniature golf, tennis court and children's playground or just relaxing around the refreshing swimming pool.
