Day 1
Arrive Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by scheduled flight.
You will be met on arrival and transferred to your Nairobi Hotel
The elegantly sophisticated Nairobi Serena is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World group and is consistently voted 'Best Hotel in Nairobi' by airlines and international travel magazines alike. Despite its pivotal central location, the Serena remains true to its title and offers an oasis of serenity amidst the bustle of one of Africa's most vibrant capital cities. The interior decor reflects an entirely pan-African theme featuring art and inspiration from Ethiopia, the Maghreb, West Africa and East Africa. Offering a range of dining experiences, the hotel is renowned for its 'Mandhari' fine-dining restaurant, which is rated as one of the Kenya's finest. The Nairobi Serena also offers the exclusive 'Maisha' Health Club and Spa.
Accommodation: Nairobi Serena
Day 2
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Elmenteita Serena Camp to arrive in time for lunch.
This area of breathtaking beauty, home to many rare species of animals, is less than two hours drive from Nairobi. Evocatively styled to echo the areas rich history, the Elmenteita Serena camp blends aristocratic elegance with modern luxury and offers cuisine and service of fittingly high standards.

In the afternoon enjoy a game drive in the nearby Lake Nakuru National Park, colored a shimmering flamingo pink from thousands of the beautiful birds lining its shores. Wildlife is also in abundance here.
Accommodation: Elmenteita Serena Camp (B,L,D)
Day 3
After breakfast, depart the camp and head towards the Masai Mara. Lunch will be served at Keekorok Lodge in the Mara Reserve and then enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge.

Masai Mara is an extension of the Serengeti ecosystem to the south. Game abounds here, particularly when the migration is on, and millions of wildebeest and zebras make their way back and forth across the Mara River on their annual trek. The Mara is also noted for its abundance of lions - particularly the superb black maned males. You'll see lots of elephants here often in large herds, and if you're lucky leopard, cheetah and rhino. All of the Big Five are residents. You're sure to see the African buffalo. Get the cameras ready and enjoy yourselves!
Styled to echo the circular motif of a traditional Maasai manyatta, the Mara Serena lodge blends international sophistication with raw African beauty, with individual rooms, each with its own view of the famous Mara River. The central bar and dining areas enjoy spectacular views, as does the rock-surround swimming pool. Each luxuriously-presented room is accommodated in its own stand-alone modular unit, with uninterrupted views, private balcony and spacious seating area.
Accommodation: Mara Serena Safari Lodge (B,L,D)
Day 4
Set out on an early morning game drive returning to the Lodge for breakfast.
Mid-morning is spent at leisure and lunch at the Camp.

In the afternoon again go on a game viewing drive in the reserve, with the opportunity of enjoying breathtaking vistas, panoramas of vast rolling plains, hills and woodland groves, well watered by the lovely Mara River. The Mara is Kenya's most visited protected area. Technically an extension of Tanzania's renowned Serengeti National Park, the Mara constitutes only 4% of the entire Serengeti ecosystem but its rolling grasslands, meandering rivers and towering escarpments offer one of the world's most rewarding and evocative wildlife arenas.
Accommodation: Mara Serena Safari Lodge (B,L,D)
Day 5
This morning drive to the Isebania Border to meet with your Tanzanian guide, and continue to Lake Victoria. From there take a boat transfer to Lukuba Island to arrive in time for lunch.

The Lukuba Island Lodge is comprised of five intricately built stone bungalows with traditional grass thatched roofs, all with lake views, just steps from the beach. Set under massive fig trees and flanked by granite monoliths, the cabins provide a beautiful view of the rock islands scattered across the channel and yet are private enough to enjoy the quiet songs of the visiting shore birds. The Lodge is the perfect place to relax and provides everything you'll need to unwind, to smile again, to take a deep breath and let the sounds and visions of Lake Victoria overtake you

Lukuba Island Lodge is set on a secluded, soft sand beach on the eastern side of Lake Victoria, the second largest fresh water lake in the world. Countless species of birds flock to its granite boulders, fish eagles and snowy egrets floating over the ripples, as Nile monitors and spotted neck otters swim up on the rocks to sun themselves. Enormous fig and mahogany trees create a lush green canopy which not only filters the equatorial light, but also provides a home for the vervet monkeys and red / blue agama lizards that frequent them. This is a nature lovers paradise
Accommodation: Lukuba Island Lodge (B,L,D)
Day 6
After breakfast take a boat transfer to the mainland and drive to Serengeti National Park.
Enjoy lunch at the camp and then go on an afternoon game drive

The vast and sensational Serengeti is Tanzania's first-established, largest and most famous park wherein tens of thousands of hoofed animals roam in a constant and unremitting search for the fresh grasslands upon which their survival depends. The million-plus wildebeest are the predominant herbivore and also the main prey of a huge cast of large carnivores, principally lion and hyena. Whilst the annual migration is the Serengeti's most famous attraction, the Park is also renowned for its lion and for its wealth of cheetah, zebra, giraffe, Thomson's and Grant's gazelle, eland, impala, klipspringer, hippo and warthog.

Kirawira Camp has 25 widely-spaced luxury tents, raised on timber platforms, each with a glorious view of the plains. Each tent has a spacious furnished deck leading to a bedroom furnished in antique Edwardian style with steamer-trunks, writing desk, brass lamps, rugs, sepia photographs and four-poster bed with patchwork quilt. The luxurious ensuite bathroom is fitted with carved mahogany furniture and features a classic black-and-white tiled floor (separate flushed WC, shower, twin marble basins, hot and cold running water). Each tent has its own personal valet
Accommodation: Kirawira Luxury Tented Camp (B,L,D)
Day 7
This morning is another game drive in the Serengeti as you make your way en route to the Serengeti Serena Lodge

Enjoy lunch at the lodge followed by another afternoon game drive

Centrally located adjacent to the famous Western Corridor and Grumeti River, the lodge has been designed to blend completely into the living landscape. A series of traditional domed 'rondavels' are widely spaced throughout the grounds, which are cooled by groves of acacia trees and watered by sparkling streams. On the very edge of the ridge is a 'vanishing horizon' pool, which looks out over the 'endless plains' after which the Serengeti is named.
Accommodation: Serengeti Serena Lodge (B,L,D)
Day 8
Today you will go on morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti.
Accommodation: Serengeti Serena Lodge (B,L,D)
Day 9
This is your last opportunity for a game drive en route to the Seronera Airstrip.
Fly on a scheduled flight to Nairobi's Wilson Airport via Kilimanjaro International Airport. In the afternoon visit the Giraffe Centre and Karen Blixen Museum.
Then transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departing flight. (B)
