Arusha is the safari capital of East Africa, a bustling, vibrant town with the streets filled with 4X4 game viewing vehicles criss-crossing the potholed roads. Inspired by the grade and romance of a fine "old-time" coffee plantation where guests could anticipate a high standard of accommodation, Arusha Coffee Lodge is nestled in a coffee plantation and along side a lovely restaurant. There are 21 private chalets featuring multi-level areas, huge balconies and beautiful fireplaces, all with en suite bathroom facilities. In addition, each chalet features a mini-bar, tea and coffee making facilities, ceilings fans, safes and hairdryers; each chalet also has its own coffee grinder and percolator in the spirit of a true coffee estate experience. Day 2
Transfer to Arusha Airport for scheduled flight to Lake Manyara Airstrip, departing at 8:00am and arriving at 8:25am. You are met by safari vehicles and game view in Lake Manyara National Park.
This Park is famous for its tree-climbing lions. No one is certain why they have this peculiar habit, some say to avoid the tormenting files or to catch the breeze. Generally the lions prefer the acacia.
Manyara is also famous for its concentrations of elephant and other animals that are seen in abundance include the hippo, buffalo giraffe, baboon and wildebeest.
Lake Manyara National Park is only 123 square miles in area, and has a marvellous concentration of game, including 350 species of birds. A game drive through this Park takes you to flocks of flamingo on the soda lake which are a magnificent sight. The animals you are likely to see are elephant, Zebra, hippo, as well as the curious tree-climbing lions.
A picnic lunch is provided to allow for maximum game viewing. Later in the afternoon drive to Gibb's Farm arriving for afternoon tea. You have time at leisure or may walk in the gardens and view the farm.
Gibb's Farm lies conveniently between Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater, near the village of Karatu. Set among formal English Gardens, the Farmhouse and 20 cottages are the heart of a working Farm. Organic Coffee is grown, processed and roasted on the Farm, and a vast 10-acre organic fruit and vegetable garden provides 90% of the ingredients needed for fresh, home-cooked meals.

Day 3
Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and travel along the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater to the descent road. Descend to the floor of the crater and view the wide range of wildlife found inside this collapsed volcano. Spend the day viewing the wildlife from the comfort of your safari vehicle returning to the rim of the crater and back to Gibb's Farm in the late afternoon.
A diverse variety of experiences are possible during a visit to Gibb's farm.
The African Living Spa is a complete sensory journey. Treatments for travellers are based on indigenous Maasai healing techniques that have been passed through the hands of many generations. Enjoy a 40 minute walk through the gardens under the guidance of Horticulturist Paskali Gwandu who supervises the care of hundreds of species of flora, and Herb gardener Daudi tends to the aromatic herb garden. Or take a 2-hour walk through the Forest. Guided by a Gibb's Farm naturalist, trails meander into the valley to a waterfall, through dense forest pathways, coffee fields and village trails. Just inside the conservation area, a majestic waterfall beckons travellers to enjoy a light hike through the forest highlands. Along the way, experience the "elephant caves": cave-like structures created by elephants digging up the earth to ingest the vitamin-rich soil. This soil also attracts other large animals like Buffalo, Bushbuck, Waterbuck, and Baboons

A place of such natural beauty, elegant opulence and authentic safari ambience that the highest levels of guest expectations are bound to be exceeded.
This brand new ultra-luxury tented camp is located near the granite-studded hills of Wogakuri Kopjes in the farthest northern reaches of the Serengeti National Park, a secluded oasis of old-world luxury that blends in seamlessly with its pristine environment. A small and intimate bush camp by design, the property consists of only 14 guest tents and a main lounge/dining tent/bar.
The setting could have been plucked from the prose of Out of Africa; rusty-gold grasslands that wave for miles and interrupted only by intermittent thickets of flat topped acacia trees and piles of blackened kopjes, all just a few miles away from the secluded banks of the mighty Mara River and directly on the path of a main migration route. The light, sounds, smells and breath-taking visas of the Serengeti wilderness spill into open-air living and dining spaces.

Every night lions can be heard roaring from the clusters of granite boulders dotted around the hills and valleys. Hyena whoop, and occasionally a tom leopard cough to proclaim his territory.

Day 8
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the camp's vehicle using the camp as a base.
The Masai Mara is Kenya's most famous and most visited game reserve and offers wonderful scenery and an abundance of big game. It is a reserve of breathtaking vistas, panoramas of vast rolling plains, hills and woodland groves, well watered by the lovely Mara River. The Mara is home to the largest population of lions in Kenya, while the waters of the Mara River are home to crocodiles and pools of hippo, and the woodlands and forests are favored by leopard and elephant, and the open savannah areas play host to the plains' game. Open savannahs, rolling grasslands and undulating hills sets the scene for the splendor of the Mara, with the annual migration of wildebeests, zebras and gazelles from the plains of the Serengeti. Driven by dry conditions in the Serengeti and led by the lightning and thunder to the north, huge herds of mammals cross the Tanzanian border and rivers to reach the Mara's grasslands. They are tracked by elusive predators: black-manned lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas, and circled by vultures as their journey unfolds. Other land mammals include elephants, topi, impala, giraffe, gazelle, baboons, jackals, water buffalo, ostriches, antelope and more. There is abundant birdlife including herons, kestrels, corncrakes, bee-eaters, hornbills, shrikes, sunbirds and over 53 different types of birds of prey.
